This semester, we’re excited to have three new staff members joining Franklin High School, bringing fresh experiences and excitement to our campus.
Let’s introduce our three newest teachers, Mrs. Page, Mr. Harrell, and Mr. Bell, and talk about what they’re most excited about this next semester.

First up, we have our new healthcare teacher, Mrs. Page, who mentioned that she’s mainly looking forward to teaching, because it lets her bring together two things she loves, healthcare and education.
When asked why she’s teaching, Mrs. Page said, “I always wanted to be a teacher before I became a nurse, so this is the best of both worlds.”
Before joining the high school, she worked as a baby nurse at a local hospital. She’ll miss caring for tiny babies, but she looks forward to preparing students for future healthcare careers.
One thing Mrs. Page said her students need to realize is that her classes will be challenging, but made it clear that she’ll do her best to help students succeed.
Next, we have our new ISS teacher, who briefly worked at the middle school.
Mr. Harrell spent more than three decades in law enforcement, even serving as a police chief, before he started working in schools. When asked why he came to Franklin High School, Mr. Harrell mentioned that he actually likes change, and views it as a sign of progress.
Although he will miss the middle school teachers and staff, he’s excited to meet some new folks at the high school.
Mr. Harrell wants his students to understand that he treats everyone respectfully and expects the same from them.
Something else he admits to is how, at first glance, he might seem intimidating and scary, but if you take a minute to get to know him, he’s a pretty friendly and approachable guy.

Last but certainly not least is another familiar face, Mr. Bell, our new art teacher.
Mr. Bell is another teacher from the middle school who is ready for a change and a new chapter of his life.
While Mr. Bell enjoyed teaching at the middle school, he shares that “there is only so far I could take them,” and he is excited to “share more of what I know” with his new students.
Along with looking forward to working with the high schoolers and helping them feel more confident and skilled in art, he also wants to tell his students to come to class ready to learn. “Too many people tell themselves early on they can’t draw, but if you come to class with an open mind, you can do a lot more than you think.”
While we will miss the teachers who previously worked at FHS before these three, we are so excited to welcome the newest members of staff!
