Farmington Tiger Wrestling

On March 23, the Farmington wrestlers headed down to Rochester Civic Center, to compete in sections. The first day the wrestlers had tough matches but stuck through it. Even though some of the matches didn’t go the way they planned, they still tried. Whoever in this tournament took first or second would be able to go to state. Farmington had three boys make it to state they are, Luke Peterson, Trayton Anderson, and Mac Kukowski. The boys had a tough weekend but wrestled tough. Being able to place in sections is such a big accomplishment we had a few other boys place. Aiden Han Lindmyer took 8th place as an eighth grader, Gavin Anderson took 4th place, Luke Weierke took 4th place, and Zac Janz ended up taking 3rd. Luke Peterson said, “I was proud of how our team wrestled this weekend, everyone improved by the littlest things.”  This goes to show that no matter who lost, they improved. Overall the Farmington Wrestling team had a great season no matter how many loses they’ve had. Each wrestler was focused and worked on the little things to help them improve. Can’t wait to see what next year brings!
