Tiger Wrestling

The Farmington Tigers wrestling team hosted the Koda Classic Tournament on January sixth. They ranked second place with a record of 3-1. The Tigers beat Osseo (55-24), Rochester Mayo (44-31), Winona (40-32), and took a close loss to Pipestone (33-36).

Nick Hawkins, a senior at Farmington High School, is one of the elite competitors for the heavyweight weight class. People refer to him as the Hawk, taking down large opponents with pure intimidation. The name Hawk is a frightful name to hear before anyone’s match.

“The kid I will be wrestling is pretty good but I’m ready to wrestle tough.” Hawkins said before his match last night.

The Tigers had a dual versus Prior Lake on Thursday. Farmington lost to the Lakers 51-25. The Tigers compete against Rosemount and Apple Valley in their Home Double Dual on Thursday, January 18th.
