Color guard is not just twirling flags and dancing around. It is a family. The color guard goes everywhere with the marching band. Including competitons, home football games, and more. The theme this year is Sagarmatha, which means Mount Everest. This year, we have a new coach, Markell Farnsworth. Along with new captains and co captains, Clara Amadasun, Lorali Diaz, and Chase Hansen. I asked the captain and some of the fellow color guard how they thought this season would go. “I think that we are going to make a huge improvement especially with Markell being there and more teammates. Personally, I think that’s it going to go great, even better then last year.” Teammate Odosasere Amadasun answered. “We are very fast learners, and we all are getting along very well with each other. We have a very good advantage with that.” Color guard captain Clara Amadasun said. We’re hoping for a good year!
