Farmington Gymnasts Are Ready For A Great Season!

Ally Keehn, Staff

The 2018/19 gymnastics season has begun! The team is ready for a fresh start with new head coach Krystal Wallerich. They already have two meets under their belt and are gearing up for the rest of the upcoming season. The team recently had their first home meet against Lakeville North on December 18th. Varsity has an invite at Faribault this Saturday January 6th, and there is a JV/Varsity meet at Lakeville South this Tuesday January 8th. Captain Kali Stadler says she’s excited for all of the new gymnasts on the team this season. Juniors, Ashleigh Buckman and Lauren Eccles, are also excited for all of the new faces in the gym, including new head coach Krystal and the new coaching style she brings to the gym. The girls say that one thing they do exceptionally well this year as a team is getting along and working together. The dynamics among the girls are great and this makes for a fun and easy environment to work hard in. I asked captain Kali Stadler about some of her goals this season and she said her individual goal is to make it on the sections team. She said the team goal is always to make it to state, but adds another goal of making it through the year with a new coach. The gymnasts have been working hard and are ready to continue on with a great season!
