The offense from Farmington’s season-high 67-point effort against Burnsville didn’t carry over into last week’s games.

The Tigers couldn’t get out of the mid-30s in a pair of South Suburban Conference road losses, falling to Lakeville North 66-35 last Tuesday and Apple Valley 76-34 on Friday.

“North and Apple Valley are two very solid and very talented teams. The girls worked hard in each game, but our collective inexperience was exposed in both games. We tended to rush shots and had unforced turnovers,” Farmington coach Sondra Chadwick said. “We had some chances to hit some shots early that I felt would have helped the girls to get their confidence up early and help them compete.”

Those early shots didn’t fall and the Tigers fell behind 44-22 by the break against the Eagles. They followed that up with a 12-point second half.

Kamryn Corraro was the only player in double figures with 13 points. Alyssa Wagner added seven.

The North game played out in a similar fashion. The Tigers dug a 43-22 hole by halftime and put up 13 points in the final 18 minutes.

Wagner led nine Tiger scorers with 10 points.

“It was a good learning experience for the team, and gives us a lot to work on the back half of conference play. We will continue to look forward, learn and improve from it,” Chadwick said.

The Tigers (3-15) are back on the hardwood tomorrow night when they travel north to take on Rosemount (13-5) at Irish Gym. The Irish will be looking to avenge their 50-48 loss to the Tigers TONIGHT in Farmington.
