Get your voices ready to go on Friday because Football sections is here! This Friday, October 26th, our Farmington Tigers will be going up against the Edina Hornets. The Tigers will be traveling to Edina’s home turf for the section game. Even though the game is in enemy territory it does not give us as a school an excuse not to go or be loud. The odds are up against us due to Edina being the number 7 ranked team in the state of Minnesota. Lineman Seth Goodreau explained his knowledge about Edina, “They have a really strong defense, and their offense is led by Notre Dame commit, Quinn Carroll. He is our focus as well.” Edina was 6-2 this season, while Farmington was 1-7 this year. Records don’t matter when it comes to Sections. It is a brand new start for every team. In all honesty, this game will not be an easy one. Lineman, Seth Goodreau said this about the game plan, “We need to start out strong, and limit the mental mistakes.” But we know our Tigers will fight for us and give it their all on Friday. The theme for the game will be flannels or farmer out, so everyone did through your dad’s closet and come out to support! We should all expect the biggest and loudest crowd of the entire season. We as a student section have to set the tone for the game and give the Football team a boost in confidence and a hint of adrenaline as well. The student section must be louder than Edina, it has to be more creative, and it has to stay consistent as well. We can’t be loud then take a break. We must be consistently loud and have our teams back. Momentum in a football game can change very quickly and if we have it the whole game, then the game will be ours! Anyone who hasn’t been to a game, should go to a section game! They are super fun and gets everyone to come out of their shells and experience High School outside of a classroom. Good luck to our Tigers this Friday!
