The Farmington boys won one event and placed second in two others while earning sixth as a team at last week’s South Suburban Conference Relays.
The foursome of seniors Caleb Bray, Tyler Schafer, Devon Webb and Alex Hart combined to best the rest of the field in the sprint medley relay with a time of 3:40.60. A time under 3:40 would have qualified them for New Balance Nationals, but they were still able to edge second-place Prior Lake by 32-hundredths of a second.

Bray, Schafer and Webb closed out the meet by combining with Ben Sorenson for second place in the 4×400. A 3:30.97 clocking left them just over a second behind Prior Lake.

Sorenson also teamed up with Ryan Newton, Regan Sevenich and Aaron Kruse for runner-up honors in the 4×800.

The Tigers also finished in the top half of the field in both the distance races. Their top three 3,200 runners, led by Noah Revels’ sixth-place finish, combined for the fourth best team score, and their top four 1,600 runners earned third place. Hart set the pace with a fifth-place 4:40, Derek Cole came in 11th in 4:47 and Revels took 14th in 4:50.

The 4×200 foursome of Bray, Sorenson, Jake Schwartz and Alexander Hall also placed fourth with a time of 1:34.40.

Jackson Meier and Dylan Cole tied for 11th in the pole vault, each clearing 9-6.

The Tigers were back on the track Tuesday for their True Team section meet at Lakeville North.
