Hunter Conrad is a 17-year-old senior at Farmington High School. Hunter was crowned Homecoming King, is Choir President, part of Link Crew, plays baseball, stars in the fall musical, and is in New Dimension. When asked how others would describe him, Hunter said, “probably funny, crazy, nice, and energetic.” A fun fact about Hunter, “I can do a handstand and I can walk on my hands!” Hunter’s high school experience has been a roller coaster ride. Freshman and sophomore year of high school wasn’t the easiest, he says, because he was discovering who his friends were, struggling with grades, and being new to the high school is a change he had to get used to. He further explained what his junior and senior year has been like, “my junior and senior year I’ve started to figure out myself a bit more, figure out my friends, and my grades have been really good, so I’ve definitely changed as a person overall throughout high school, which is good.”  Advice to underclassmen from Hunter is, “focus on your grades early, they may not seem important but they are for your grades and for colleges.” He also touches on extracurriculars, “whatever you decide to join, fully commit to it. Don’t join it just to join it. Make a lot of friends and meet a lot of new people!” Hunter doesn’t have an exact plan set in place for after high school, but he would like to play baseball at Mankato State. “I want to major in either business management or personal therapy.” Good luck, Hunter! Farmington’s behind you!
